New BitDefender Enterprise Manager Launched
BitDefender launches today BitDefender Enterprise Manager 2.6., the next generation in security management solutions. The product is available immediately from the BitDefender website, either as an upgrade to an existing installation or as part of an integrated security solution.
Due to the new live update feature of BitDefender Enterprise Manager 2.6, the enterprise server, the update server, the product itself and the various antivirus solutions installed on client computers can be updated without human intervention.
With Enterprise Manager 2.6 add-ons and the base components of the product can be installed at the same time, on entire IP ranges, if necessary, and the preparatory step of remote add-on installation (installing BitDefender Local Management) is taken automatically.
The management console comes with a whole bunch of additional features to help administrators breeze through various network management tasks: a new task has been devised to support the re-assignment of BitDefender client computers to different Enterprise servers; the Antivirus Status pane offers more visibility into server clients▓ antivirus status. To top it all, BitDefender Enterprise Manager 2.6 introduces a wizard for importing and exporting the product settings, which simplifies backup and migration processes.
